How do you setup the original (fat) PS2 online?

i know u need the disk and network adaptor and i got all that. i dont need help with the disk setup, i just need to know:





when i plug in the ethernet cable into my PS2 and my modem (i have broadband), i have to remove the ethernet cable from my pc


so i was wondering is this how you set it up or does your modem still have to have a connection with the pc. (this mite be a simple question and i mite sound stupid but just help me out).

simple and yet confusing at the same time





1. Make sure you have internet connection sharing turned on


2. plug the ps2 into an open port on your computer


3. make sure it can automatically find settings





or just take the ethernet cable and plug it in the back of the ps2, you dont have to use a computer to get internet to the ps2, its just most useful this way because the computer and ps2 can both use the internet at the same time
