all right dude this is what i do to play online on my ps2 i have slim as well
1st--- i have a modem box thing for wireless internet which has conections on the back. i dnt know if you have this box thing..
2nd--- connect a cable that looks like the phone cable but the tip of the cable is bigger to the back of your ps2 where it has the entrance to that cable and thats it----run the cd that came with your ps2 to connect to the internet make sure ur ps2 is connected to the modem box thing though... i hope this helpsHow to get ps2 online?
1. get a wireless router
2. get a receiver and put it in your ps2.
other option is to run a cord from your router to the ps2.
Go to any electronics store and ask the tech theyll easily explain it for you.

You need the online disc that comes with brand new ps2s you could probably find one on ebay but good luck finding anybody to play with, everybodys online in ps3 games
