PS2 online?

I want to play ps2 online with my ps2 (the slim ones), and I have a regular phone cord, which hooks into the back of the Ps2, and into the computer (back) or directly into the wall itself. It wont work. I've heard if you have the slim model, you dont need to have and adapter. how do i get it online?PS2 online?
the phone cable is not the correct cable. you need an ethernet cable. it looks like a phone line, except it is wider. if you are trying to use a dial up connection through the phone line you will only be able to download add ons. you need a broadband connection to play games online. the network adapter is built in, so you don't need anything else.PS2 online?
is the phone and u dont need and up grade just call the ones that sells u the ps2 they should fisit
u dont need to have an adaptor. u need to have an ethernet cord and a modem. then you connect the ethernet cord from the modem to the back of the ps2 where u see the ethernet port. u cant use a phone cord to plug to the ps2 to the internet. u need to have an ethernet cord. to get online capability u need to have an internet startup disc, or u can have a game that can take u through the steps of setting up an internet connection on the ps2.
